North Newington was once a township within the larger parish of Broughton. Its most notable historical building is Park Farm House, which features elements dating back to the 14th or 15th century. There's also a 17th-century circular dovecote on the property. The village doesn't have its own church; residents are part of the ecclesiastical parish of St Mary the Virgin in Broughton.
